La Vie Bohemia

La Vie Bohème
Have a listen to this track from the musical Rent:

I am so so excited about today’s post! I’ve wanted to do this for a long while. Bohemian Culture is something I’ve been fascinated with since I saw the Musical “Rent” in my 8th Year of school. This Culture has transformed a generation of shy, uncomfortable people into a society of FREEDOM, Expression, LIBERATION && the Ability to Embrace everything life has to offer! It’s not only a culture but a life style!

As Wikipedia Says:
Bohemianism is the practice of an unconventional lifestyle, often in the company of like-minded people, with few permanent ties, involving musical, artistic, or literary pursuits. In this context, Bohemians may be wanderers, adventurers, or vagabonds.
Now that’s sounds like a lifestyle I could subscribe to!! Actually I think we all have a little bit of a bohemian spirit in us! Creativity is a lifestyle!!

So lets me express my Bohemianism. See this awesome outfit I put together, as well as hair and makeup tutorial.

PS: I got this Dress out of my Mother (Karen Groepe’s) wardrobe #ThankYouMommy!

To complete this brilliant Feminine BoHo look we add a few Beautiful Accessories.
What is a girl without a bit of BLING!! Add some long Feather earrings to this look
 with Shiny Chain #Hearts&Pearls.
It adds an edge while still keep the BoHo look in mind
PS: The earrings are handmade by me!!!

Pair of black boots with Brown finishing, this look is awesome
when the boot has a bit of a heel!
&& Scarfs are welcomed! Especially woolly! The woollier the better!

To complete this BoHo look see the tutorials for hair && makeup below! I loved Rocking this look!!

Bohemian Inspired Hair!
What you will need:

2 Long bobby pins
3 small bobby pins
Comb
Brush

Step 1: Grab a piece of hair from the center of your head. Tease the hair and apply hairspray if desired.

Step 2: Taking the teased hair, firmly grip it with the large bobby pins creating a bit of a bump! Make sure it is firmly in place.

Step 3: Take a piece of hair 3 finger spaces from your hair line. Divide it into 2 equal parts

Step 4: Braid the 2 pieces (separately) and using the small bobby pins, place them wear you gripped the bump.

Ps: Repeat on the other side with one 1 braid (if you have a side path). With a middle path, have 2 braids on each side.

&& there you have it! A BoHo Hairstyle!
PS: if you have tiny flowers, place them around the braids to complete this pretty look.

A Makeup tutorial with BoHo in mind with a splash of NATIVE INDIAN

What you will need:

Light shadow
Dark Shadow (I chose blue)
Mascara
Application brush
Shading brush
Liquid Liner & Eye Pencil

Step 1: Prepare the eye with the light shadow (skin tone) then apply a colour lighter than the dark one you have selected, along the crease of your eye.

Step 2: apply the darker shade && then blend the 2 colours

Step 3:
PS: This will need a steady hand!
Taking your liquid liner, apply on your top eye lid, drawing a line towards your brow. Using your eye pencil, apply to your bottom lid. Take the liquid liner to extend that line.

Complete by adding a line to the center of the top and bottom line as well as under your eye lid. Creating a FLOWER!! Apply Mascara && you’re done! BEAUTIFUL!

Hope this post brings out you inner BoHo! Freedom of expression is a Right && should be used Responsibly! Expose your inner artist!
