 1/2 teaspoon salt
 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

1/2 cup white sugar, or to taste
 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine water, 2 1/2 tablespoons sugar, salt and 2 tablespoons vegetable oil. Bring to a boil and remove from heat. Stir in flour until mixture forms a ball.
Heat oil for frying in deep-fryer or deep skillet to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Pipe strips of dough into hot oil using a pastry bag. Fry until golden; drain on paper towels.

Combine 1/2 cup sugar and cinnamon. Roll drained churros in cinnamon and sugar mixture.

Baked Flan

Serving: 8
PREP: 20 mins
COOK: 1 hr
READY IN: 1 hr 20 mins

2/3 cup white sugar
1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
 2 cups heavy cream
 1 cup milk
 5 eggs
 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
In a small nonstick saucepan, heat the sugar over medium heat. Shake and swirl occasionally to distribute sugar until it is dissolved and begins to brown. Lift the pan over the heat source (4 to 6 inches) and continue to brown the sugar until it becomes a dark golden brown. You may slightly stir while cooking, but continually stirring causes the sugar to crystallize. Pour caramelized sugar into a 1 1/2 quart casserole dish or a large loaf pan, and swirl to coat the bottom of the pan evenly.
In a blender, combine sweetened condensed milk, cream, milk, eggs and vanilla. Blend on high for one minute. Pour over the caramelized sugar.

Place the filled casserole dish into a larger pan and add 1 inch of HOT water to the outer pan. Bake in preheated oven for 50 to 60 minutes, or until set.

PINATA TIME

How to Make a Pinata

Tools:
  • Scissors
  • Measuring cup
  • Bowls
  • Mixing spoon
  • Saucepan
  • Serrated knife
  • Artists' brushes
  • Ice pick

Materials:
  • Large and small balloons
  • Newspaper
  • Flour
  • Water
  • Cardboard tubes from toilet paper or paper towels
  • Transparent tape or masking tape
  • White glue
  • Poster paint or colored tissue paper
  • Construction paper, crepe paper, yarn, or pipe cleaners, as desired
  • Sturdy string
  • Hard candy and small toys, as desired
Time: About 2 to 4 hours, plus 2 to 3 days drying time
Use a large balloon to build the piñata on, roughly the same shape you want the piñata to be. Use a round balloon for a round fruit or vegetable or a funny head; use a long balloon for a plane or ship. Make sure you get a balloon large enough to hold candy for the whole party; a diameter of 12 inches is usually adequate. To make a head, if you need one, get a 6 1/2-inch balloon. Just in case, get at least one extra balloon in each size.

Making the Papier-Mâché
The piñata is built up of papier-mâché strips smoothed over the balloon. Before you blow up the balloon, cut or tear newspaper into 1 1/4-inch-wide strips. Prepare more strips than you think you'll need; the balloon must be covered with several layers of paper. Spread newspaper on your work surface to protect it.
When you have enough newspaper strips, make a flour and water paste for the papier-mâché. Mix 1/4 cup of flour and 1 cup of cold water, pressing out all lumps; set it aside. Measure 5 cups of water into a saucepan and bring the water to a boil. Add a spoonful of boiling water to the flour-and-water paste, and stir to mix well; then, stirring constantly, slowly pour the paste mixture into the boiling water. Lower the heat and simmer for 2 to 3 minutes, stirring occasionally. Let the mixture cool.
Now Follow the step in the pictorial below

Easy DIY Decorations

Mexican wall decorations

MATERIALS

10-inch-by-14-inch sheets of brightly colored tissue paper
Decorative hole punches
Iron
Craft scissors or pinking shears
String
Glue

STEP 1
Make eight equal sections: Fold one sheet of tissue paper in half the short way, then fold it in quarters, then in eighths. Unfold the paper and refold it accordion-style along the same folds. If desired, you can iron the paper now to make it flatter and thus easier to work with.
STEP 2
Create a repeating pattern by punching holes in the folded tissue paper using a variety of decorative hole punches. Do not use the punch on the folded edge or it will jam. Use scissors or pinking shears to cut shapes along the folded edge. Cut a curve that will make a scallop-shaped bottom edge. Leave a little room at the top. Open the folded paper. Using a warm iron, iron out the creases.
STEP 3

To hang the decorations as banners, fold the top 1/2 inch over, and crease. Run a string across the sheets, just under the fold. Carefully glue the folded edges down over the string.

Mexican paper Flowers

Materials:
6 Sheets tissue paper
1 Pipe cleaner
Scissors

  • Layer the tissue paper or crepe paper 4 sheets thick. Cut a rectangle that is 6 inches (15 cm) by 12 inches (30 cm).
  • Fold the 4 layers by starting on the short end. Make the paper folds 1 inch (2.5 cm) wide, as you would fold a paper fan. Fold one direction, turn and fold in the other direction. When complete, your folded paper will be about 1 inch (2.5 cm) by 6 inches (15 cm).
  • Cut the pointed corners of the paper with your scissors to round the corners.Use the scissor to cut a v-shaped notch on each side of the folded paper as close as you can to the middle. Be careful that you do not cut all the way through the paper and cut the flower in half.
  • Stack the colored paper on top of the green paper, so that the edges are aligned perfectly.
  • Twist one end of a green pipe cleaner very tightly around the middle of the paper where you cut the notches.
  • Separate the layers of colored tissue paper or crepe paper by pulling up from the base. Be very careful and gentle so that you do not tear the tissue paper. Do not separate the green leaves. They will remain together. You can fan out the green paper to resemble leaves.
  • Fluff the flower to your liking. You can place the green pipe cleaners of the flowers in a vase. You can use them as party favors by placing them on a table. You can add a pin to the back and wear them on your lapel.

WOW!! Doesn't all of this look great && delicious?? its all simple & easy dishes to make && making all these decorations can be a lot of fun, for young && the young at heart. This is also a great birthday party idea.  Invite your friends && family, Have yourself an awesome FIESTA!!! #ENJOY my #LOONERS

Have a listen to this awesome track:
Change your life by Iggy Azalea Feat. T.I

Transforming an Office Look to A Night Out Look

This would be your standard office attire, Black Slacks with suspenders && a White shirt with a bow tie.

Let's see how this office drab turns into night out FAB!!!!

Ditch the white shirt for white wife-beater/Vest! && Accessories with a bold gold chain && Persian inspired arm bands.

Make a bold statement by changing up the soft day time make up for this awesome look!!!

Smoky eye! you can never go wrong.

Transforming a Shopping Day look into a Cute Dinner Get Up

Comfy cut off dyed jeans with Aztec print vest, sneakers && draped cardigan

Switch the sneakers for ankle boots with a bit of heel && Beautiful purse && Camel Fedora

This look could easily be worn all day! From the supper market to a lovely night out to dinner. It is simple, not too flashy, just enough!

Transforming an Office look to a night out "COCKTAILS PLEASE"

This is a beautiful office look! I have used it before in my dressing for interviews edition.
It is very feminine & simple!
A Dress && Blazer with a work tote.

Here's how we transformed this day time look to a night 1.
Switch out the work tout for a slim clutch, also accessorize with a bold necklace. Remove the sensible heels for a pair of wedge open toe sandals.

This is a quick transformation, you could do the soft gold shadow in the day time && change it up by adding the lower eye shadow for your night out.

Getting your makeup right can be difficult sometimes. Here are a few tips about the difference between day time && night time makeup

Day time

1.  Less is more
It’s worth considering laying off the eyeliner a bit, and focusing more on staying light and fresh.
2. Perfectly groomed brows
You do not need nearly as much liner when she has perfectly shaped brows– it frames your face.
3. A little mascara = A lot of femininity
A little mascara goes a long way with a daytime look. It polishes the look and adds that touch of femininity.
How do you from day to night?

1.  Liner Liner liner
Be a little more generous with the liner in the nighttime look. It’s more dramatic and makes your eyes stand out in a crowd.
2.  Adding color
Use a little pop of a sophisticated shade that really caters to your eye color. It’s fun, unique, and it accents your naturally beautiful features.
3. Smoke it out... LOVE LOVE me some Smokey eye!
Use a deeper shade in the crease of the eye and smudge it out to reach the length of the line of the eyebrow. This dramatic smoky effect, when paired with lighter shades on the lid and highlights just below the brow makes for a picture perfect night look.

I hope all you #LOONERS love, share, && try out this post! #PROMISE && #DELIVERED. You need not buy up a whole store to transform a look! ACCESSORIES! ACCESSORIES! ACCESSORIES! That is the key to changing up a look && knowing exactly which makeup look works for the time of day.
Stay Fabulous!

How to take care of your skin with regards to Oiliness or Dryness

NORMAL SKIN

You have normal skin if you:

  • No or few imperfections
  • No severe sensitivity
  • Barely visible pores
  • A radiant complexion
Taking care of Normal skin:
  • The only care this skin requires is cleaning it twice a day with a mild baby soap and water and toned with something mild, like rose water.
  • At night, to keep your skin's normal moisture- balance apply a thin film of home-made moisturizer.
  • Any time your skin becomes slightly oily or slightly dry in any area correct these tendencies by following the advice given regarding these types of skin.
  • Follow every cleansing with a mild freshener to keep pores tight and to remove traces of cleanser clinging to the skin. Use an astringent with a low alcohol content.
  • Avoid direct heat on the face-including that from blow dryers.
  • Always use a mild, oil-based moisturizer under makeup to help retain surface moisture.
  • Guard against the drying, aging effects of the sun by using makeup products that contain a sunscreen.
  • Once every two weeks, stimulate the circulation and smooth the surface of the skin by using a nondrying mask.

Essential Oils For Normal Skin

Chamomile
Fennel
Geranium
Lavender
Lemon
Patchouli
Rose
Sandalwood

OILY SKIN

You have oily skin if you have:

Enlarged pores
Dull or shiny, thick complexion
Blackheads, pimples, or other blemishes

Causes of Oily Skin

  • Genetics
  • Overuse use of skin care products
  • Seasonal changes.
  • Medications
  • Use of incorrect products
  • Stress
  • Use of unnecessary skin care tools
  • Sun tanning

HOME REMEDIES FOR OILY SKIN
Exfoliate

Be careful with abrasives - use them, but gently! To add a bit of abrasion to liquid soap, simply add 1/2t of baking soda and rub the mixture gently into oily areas. Rinse with cool water. This scrub also helps get rid of blackheads on oily areas such as the chin, forehead and nose.

Essential Oils

Aloe Vera gel, which is available at health-food stores, supermarkets and drugstores, will clear your pores and absorb excess oil. Dab a small amount of the gel to your face several times a day and always after washing your face. Let dry. Store the gel in the refrigerator for an invigorating feeling.

Moisturizer
  • Fresh milk
  • Lime – 2 to 3 tablespoon
  • Extra virgin olive oil – 2 to 3 table spoon
  • A cup for mixing all ingredients
Method:
First take a clean cup and pour about a quarter cup of milk.
Take about 2 tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil and mix it well with the milk.
Finally pour about 2 tablespoon of lime and stir it well, and your moisturizer is ready.
Facial Masks

Make a homemade facial mask of ½ cup oatmeal, ½ cup mashed apple, 1 tablespoon of lemon juice and 1 slightly beaten egg . Mix together in a paste. Apply to your face, and leave it on for 15 minutes. Rinse with cool water

DRY SKIN
You have dry skin if you have:

  • Almost invisible pores
  • Dull, rough complexion
  • Red patches
  • Less elasticity
  • More visible lines
The causes of Dry skin

  • over-washing with harsh soaps
  • overuse of sanitizers and cleaning agents (alcohol)
  • cold temperature
  • low humidity

HOME MADE REMEDIES FOR DRY SKIN

Exfoliate

An exfoliating scrub made by concocting lemon juice and sugar leaves your skin soft and glowing. With a circular massage of the skin with this beauty scrub, rough spots on the face become even. The vitamins C in the lemons is a good astringent that lightens the skin tone, removes patches on the skin and encourages cell growth. Mix a teaspoon of sugar and mix it with juice of half a lemon, use cotton balls to scrub all over the face. Put a jar of it on your nightstand and apply it regularly.

Essential Oil

The characteristics of the olive oil and egg yolk makes their amalgamation a must have for those who have dry skin. Olive oil is one of the key secret ingredients used in practices of taking care of flaky dry skin. It is a popular natural antioxidant enriched with vitamin E and K that works wonders when a teaspoon of it is combined with two egg yolks and whipped together to obtain a stable consistency. The egg yolks have vitamin A that controls the shedding of the skin and make it soft and smooth. For better results, add a few drops of lime juice and rose water.

Moisturizer
  • 1/2 cup Coconut Oil
  • 1 teaspoon liquid Vitamin E or tea tree oil
  • 5-7 drops Lavender Essential Oil
Method:
Combine the coconut oil, vitamin E or tea tree oil, and lavender in a bowl. Now mix.

Facial Mask

Mayo Magic

Throw in two teaspoons of wheat flour, four teaspoons of gram flour and four teaspoons of honey into a blender. Top that of with a tablespoon of mayonnaise and blend. Apply it on to your face for around twenty minutes and then rinse.
You could also save the effort of blending these ingredients and instead mix in half a teaspoon of baby oil into the mayonnaise

10 Ways to keep ACNE under control
1. Keep your face clean. Whether or not you have acne, it's important to wash your face twice daily to remove impurities, dead skin cells, and extra oil from your skin's surface. Washing more often than twice daily is not necessarily better; it may do more harm than good. Use warm, not hot, water and a mild facial cleanser. Using a harsh soap (like deodorant body soap) can hurt the already inflamed skin and cause more irritation.
Avoid scrubbing your skin harshly with a washcloth, exfoliating glove, or loofah (a coarse-textured sponge). Gently wash it with your clean hands or a very soft cloth. Always rinse well, and then dry your face with a clean towel. (Toss the towel in the laundry hamper, as dirty towels spread bacteria.)
2. Moisturize. Many acne products contain ingredients that dry the skin, so always use a moisturizer that minimizes dryness and skin peeling. Look for "noncomedogenic" on the label, which means it should not cause acne.  There are moisturizers made for oily, dry, or combination skin.
3. Try an over-the-counter acne product. These acne products don't need a prescription. They may have ingredients such as benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid, glycolic acid, or lactic acid, which curb bacteria and dry your skin. Start with a small amount at first. Then you can adjust how much you use and how often, depending on how much peeling or drying you have. Use these products with caution if you have sensitive skin.
4. Use makeup sparingly. During a breakout, avoid wearing foundation, powder, or blush. If you do wear makeup, wash it off at the end of the day. If possible, choose oil-free cosmetics without added dyes and chemicals. Choose makeup that is labeled as "noncomedogenic," meaning it should not cause acne. Read the ingredients list on the product label before buying.
5. Watch what you put on your hair. Avoid using fragrances, oils, pomades, or gels on your hair. If they get on your face, they can block your skin's pores and irritate your skin. Use a gentle shampoo and conditioner. Oily hair can add to the oil on your face, so wash your hair often, especially if you're breaking out. Got long hair? Keep it pulled away from your face.
6. Keep your hands off your face. Avoid touching your face or propping your cheek or chin on your hands. Not only can you spread bacteria, you can also irritate the already inflamed facial skin. Never pick or pop pimples with your fingers, as it can lead to infection and scarring.
7. Stay out of the sun. The sun's ultraviolet rays can increase inflammation and redness. Some acne medications may make your skin more sensitive to sunlight. Limit your time in the sun, especially between the hours of 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., and wear protective clothing, such as a long-sleeved shirt, pants, and a broad-brimmed hat. Whether you have pimples or not, always apply sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher at least 20 minutes before sun exposure. Look for "noncomedogenic" on the sunscreen label to make new pimples less likely. Read the ingredients on the product label to know what you're putting on your skin.
8. Feed your skin. Most experts agree that certain foods, like chocolate, don't cause pimples. Still, it makes sense to avoid greasy food and junk food and add more fresh fruits and vegetables and whole grains to your diet.
9. Exercise daily. Regular exercise is good for your whole body, including your skin. When you exercise, avoid wearing clothing or using exercise equipment that rubs your skin and may cause irritation. Shower or bathe right after exercise.
10. Chill! Some studies link stress with the severity of pimples or acne. Ask yourself what's making you feel stressed. Then look for solutions.

Homemade body scrubs

DRY SKIN
Spicy Sugar Scrub
Mix 3/4 cup sugar, 2 teaspoons ground cloves, 1 tablespoon dried rose petals and 1 1/2 cups sesame oil in a large bowl. Use this scrub on damp skin twice a week, scrubbing with your hands or a washcloth in small, circular motions. Rinse in a warm shower. Sugar feels slightly gentler on your skin than salt.
OILY SKIN
ULTIMATE SEA SALT SCRUB
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup course seal salt
  • 1/2 cup baby oil (if you don’t have baby oil, you can substitute with vegetable oil)
Directions:
  • Combine all ingredients into a bowl and stir
  • Cover the bowl and let it sit for 24 hours
  • Stir the mixture
  • Apply to body and massage into skin for a few minutes
  • Rinse

NORMAL SKIN

Coffee body scrub:

This will scrub away all your dead skin cells, revealing softer and healthier looking skin. It will add moisture to your skin and is especially great for winters, as it will help prepare the skin to meet the harsh weather.

What you need

  • ¼th cup ground coffee (Coffee is a great scrub for our skin as it helps fight cellulite.)
  • ¼th cup sugar (Sugar works as an exfoliator. It helps to remove the surface layer of dead skin cells. You can also use brown sugar instead of the regular white sugar.)
  • 2 tablespoons of Extra Virgin Olive Oil (Olive oil penetrates deep into the skin and protects the skin from ageing. It makes the skin supple and endows it with a youthful glow.
  • 3 Vitamin E capsules (Vitamin E has antioxidant properties that protect and repair the skin cells. It helps make the skin soft and supple.)

How to prepare:

  • Mix sugar with ground coffee, olive oil and the extracted oil from the slit Vitamin E capsule
  • Turn it to a paste.

How to use:

    • Use this mixture to scrub your entire body.
    • Scrub away gently for 10 to 15 seconds until you feel your skin has turned soft and silky.
    • Rinse it off with lukewarm water
    • Make sure you use a body wash to experience the softness of your skin.
    • Once done, apply a moisturizer of your choice to retain the moisture.
As you all know I am all about taking care of my body, mind & soul. I hope you all learned something about your skin you never knew before & also how to properly care for your skin! It is really important!
